01. Eligibility for Registration :
Is there any eligibility criteria for Registration?
Only Indian Buddhist Community i.e. Indian Nationals & Citizens or Non Resident Indians can register on bouddhamarriage.com
The minimum age for registering is 18 years for women and 21 years for men.
You should not be disabled by any law from entering into a contract.
If you desire to get remarried, you must be legally competent to do so.
02. Profile Registration :
(a) How do I create my profile online?
Click on the link ‘Registration’. The Registration Form will be displayed. Please furnish as many details as possible asked in the form, including your contact details in full. Even though some fields are optional filling, all the fields gives you a faster and more focused result. Also remember to add your latest photograph. After filling in the entire form, Click on ‘Submit’ button.
After you submit your information, your profile will be automatically created for viewing to all visitors to the Site. Before inclusion in the database, profiles are validated. Profiles submitted by underage persons, profiles having abusive or insulting contents, invalid or irrelevant data, indecent photographs etc. are not accepted.
(b) When can I get the Profile ID Number?
Profile ID Number is given only to Paid Members for future reference after payment of requisite Membership Fees. No Profile ID Number is given to Free Members.
(c) Can I register on behalf of some one else?
Yes, In fact we have a number of profiles being registered by parents, siblings, relatives etc. However, the profile details given should be complete and genuine.
(d) Is there any separate Registration Form for -Divorcee/widower/widow/physically handicapped candidates?
No, Registration Form is same for all categories. There are separate columns in this Form for above categories, in which you have to fill in respective details.
03. Profile Edit :
How do I make Changes/Modifications/Edit Profile?
To modify your profile contents, you have to Login on Home Page with your User Name & Password. Your earlier Registration Form will be displayed on the screen. You can make the necessary changes therein and then Click the ‘Submit’ button. If you have attached your photograph at the time of first registration, then it is not necessary to enclose your photograph again unless you desire to change the photograph.
04. Profile Delete :
(a) How do I delete my profile after finding of my life partner or not interested?
To delete your profile, send intimation by e-mail to us along with your Profile ID Number, email address, Telephone Numbers, etc. Our e-mail ID is – email@example.com
We will delete your profile within 2-3 days after receipt of your e-mail.
Please note that profile once deleted cannot be restored or reactivated.
(b) How do I get my profile back on site after I have deleted?
You need to re-register again with us to get your profile online again at www.bouddhamarriage.com
05. Login/User Name and Password :
(a) How I get the Login/User Name and Password?
While registering your profile with us at www.bouddhamarriage.com , you will be asked to fill in - "User Name"
We advise you to give here your email address. For example - firstname.lastname@example.org.
Password can be anything - name of your brother, sister, friend, your favourite or first vehicle name, important degree held by you or any such name which will be remembered by you. We advise to use combination of names + figures. For Example – priya0985, priya.mbbs etc. Avoid using your first name, last name, native place, residing city name, etc.
(b) How I can change the Login Name/User Name or Password ?
Login with your existing Login Name/User Name & Password. Then your registration form will be displayed. In User Name or Password field of the Registration Form, delete the earlier User Name or Password, and type the new User Name or Password, and then Click the ‘Submit’ button at the bottom of the Registration Form. Your new Login Name/Password will be registered in place of earlier Login Name/Password.
(c) What should I do if I forgot the Login Name/User Name or Password ?
You are required to send an email to us on email@example.com giving your Profile ID No., Full Name, contact number, email address, etc. On confirmation of genuineness that you are the right person who has registered with us as a Paid Member, you will be conveyed your Login Name and Password by email.
06. Search Profile:
(a) How I can search the profiles of other members?
There are different methods to search profiles:
Visitors to the Site can search profiles by Quick Search Method. Here, you can see only brief details. You can not see full details i.e. full name, address, contact details etc.
This is permitted only to Paid Members of www.bouddhamarriage.com
Here, you can search by -
Profile ID, Marital Status, Age, Education, Occupation, Place of Current Residence, Native Place, etc.
Here, you can see complete details of members i.e. full name, address, telephone no., email address, etc.
(b) I get the error "No matching records found" while searching for the profiles. Why is that so?
Please check your search criteria. If you are searching for a particular criteria, try rephrasing your spellings.
We suggest you to use partial names or try all possible spellings in the search criteria.
It is always better to give minimum search options.
(a) Is it necessary to attach photo to profile?
Adding photo to your profile increases the changes of getting better response from other members. A picture is worth a thousand words and makes your profile truly come alive!
(b) How do I add a photograph to my profile?
In following ways you can add a photograph to your profile.
1. Uploading photo from your computer at Registration
At the time of first registration while filling in the Registration Form, you can add the photo by Clicking on the Upload Photo link. Click the ‘Browse’ button at the end of the Registration Form and select the digital photo
(in JPG /GIF format) you wish to add to your profile.
The easiest method to check whether your photo has been attached properly to your profile immediately after Registration is – Go to Home Page, Click on Quick Search at the top right corner, Click on Search for bride or groom option, then without clicking any other option Click only for Search Option, the list will be displayed. You can see at top of the list your brief details with photo. If you can not see your photo with brief details there, then Login with your Login/User ID & Password, and update your profile. Go to bottom of Registration Form and click Upload photo Browse column and attach your photo.
2. Uploading/Changing Photo subsequent to First Registration
In case you intend to change your photo that you have attached at the time of registration, then you will have to – Login using your "Login Name" and "Password", your Registration Form will be displayed on the screen. Click on the "Upload Photo" link. Click the 'Browse' button and select the digital photo (in JPG /GIF format) you wish to add to your profile. Then your earlier photo will be replaced by this new photo. This process you can repeat whenever you wish to change your photograph.
It is better to keep your scanned photo ready on your desktop/floppy/pen drive before starting filling in the Registration Form. The ideal width & height must be 3.5 x 5 inches (Postcard Size) in 100 kb.
Moreover, your chosen photograph must be in accordance with the socially acceptable standards. bouddhamarriage.com reserves the right to delete any photograph that violates socially accepted norms of decency, etc
3. By e-mail
Attach the file with your photograph in JPG/GIF format and mail it to firstname.lastname@example.org Remember to write in your Full Name, Telephone No. Profile ID No., etc. On receipt, we will add the photo to your profile.
4. By Courier or Speed Post
Send the photograph to bouddhamarriage.com Remember to write in your Full Name, Telephone No., Profile ID No., etc. We will add the photo to your profile
(c) How to make my photograph look better?
Choose a solo photograph having a close-up or a full view.
Always select a photograph clicked by professional photographers.
After selecting and scanning your photograph, always use Image Enhancing Softwares like Adobe PhotoShop or Corel Photopaint. These services are offered by many cyber cafes.
(d) How I can remove photo from my profile?
In case you intend to delete your photo that you have attached at the time of registration, then you will have to – Login using your "Login Name" and "Password", your Registration Form will be displayed on the screen. Click the 'Browse' button at end of the Registration Form. Link to Photo source will be shown, then delete your photo from there.
Or you can send e-mailto bouddhamarriage.com informing to delete your photo from your profile. Remember to write your Full Name, Telephone No. Profile ID No., etc. On receipt of your email, we will delete your photo from your profile.
(e) Whether I can get back the hard copy of my photograph?
No, the hardcopy of your photograph submitted to our bureau is not returned back by us.
(f) I got an error while uploading my photo. What could be the reason?
You could have got an error if your file is not in JPG /GIF format or if the file size of the photo is more than 100 KB.
We accept digital photo files only in the JPG / GIF format and less than 100 KB in size.
(a) Who is member?
Upon registration of your profile with us, you become a member of www.bouddhamarriage.com
(b) Do you have the free membership?
Yes, we offer free membership. As a Free Member or Visitor, you can only search the profiles but you will not be able to access any detailed information i.e. full name, residence address, contact numbers, etc. of the members, either free members or paid members, enrolled with us. As a Free Member, your profile is kept in our database for a limited period only and then it is deleted at our sole discretion.
(c) How many types of members?
We have two types of membership options “Free Member” and "Paid Member".
09. Registration Fee:
(a) How much is the registration fee and how to pay it?
Registration fee is Rs.900 for 12 months for all whether residing in India or out of India.
You can pay it by cash, money order, demand draft, cheque, etc.

(b) Do you pay back the registration fee on cancellation or do you transfer the registration fee to another candidate after payment is made?
Under any circumstances, the registration fee once paid will not be refunded or transferred in the name of another candidate.
10. Activation of Profile:
When my profile will be activated after submission?
It takes nearly a week after receipt of profile/payment to display your Profile on our website because the new profiles are added to the database only once in a week on a particular day. In most cases, profiles are validated before displaying on the website.
11. Up-Date Profile/Renewal:
(a) How I can renew my membership after expiry of my membership?
To Renew your profile, you will have to send an email to us on – email@example.com along with your Full Name, Profile ID, Telephone/Mobile No., etc. Then first we will delete your existing profile and send you email of having deleted your profile. Then you can fill in the Registration Form again. After receipt of your membership fees, you will be given New Profile ID No.
(b) For renewal how many days before I have to inform?
You need to inform us at least 15 days before your membership tenure expires.
(c) How much registration fee have to be paid for renewal?
Rs. 1200 for 12 Months.
